On Wednesday HACA hosted the first visit from the SAND Project who provide bespoke real-life work opportunities for 16-25 year olds with mild learning difficulties based on what they want to do. Each participant has an Education, Health and Care plan (EHC plan) which is a legal document which describes a child or young person's aged up to 25 special educational needs, the support they need, and the outcomes they would like to achieve. All participants are supervised by a highly qualified SEND education practitioner.
This session was very successful and we look forward to another visit next week.
